It's time to renew your membership to the Parents Club for 2015 - 2016!

We have 2 member only items:

Football Tickets can be purchased for $35.00 per ticket for Dad's Day/ Parent's Weekend on September 12, 2015. Email axoparentsokstate@gmail.com to order tickets by 8/21/2015 to secure tickets.

Mom's Day Weekend - We will be having a member event on Friday for members, their daughters and family. More details to follow!

Remember your membership fees fund our ability to provide extra items to the girls throughout the year!

Your Help is Needed Now!

 Recruitment starts tomorrow and the girls need behind the scenes help!

 I have had some family health issues which needed my time but the girls need out help!

Here's what we need:

Wednesday:  3-4 people start time 9:30 am - 6:00 pm (full or half shifts)

Thursday: 3-4 people start time 9:30 am - 6:00 pm (full or half shifts)

Friday: 3-4 people start time 8:45 am - 8:45 pm (full or half shifts)

Saturday : 4-5 people start time 8:45 am - 8:15 ( full or half shifts)

Sunday: 4 people start time 8:45 am - 6:30 pm (full or half shifts)

Monday: (Bid Day) 6 people 10 am (setup) - 3:00 (cleanup)

Mom's Day Weekend

This coming weekend is Mom's Day in Stillwater! We hope to see all of you this weekend. Parent's club is hosting a dinner on Friday night at Brooklyn's in the Tasting Room beginning at 7:00 pm. The cost is $22.00 per person paid by cash or check at the door and includes a buffet of house salad, entree, 2 sides, dessert, tea and water. There will also be a vegetarian option available.  We will have a cash bar available as well. Friday night restaurants in Stillwater will be crowded with long wait times. We have our own room for the evening so we hope you will join us!

If you, your daughter and any guests would like to attend, please email me back and to confirm by asap! No later than 4/7/2015.

There will also be a special video presentation on Friday night.

Saturday's events will begin at 10:00 am at the AXO house with a group picture at 11:00am The girls have a great day planned and I hope that will be attending.

Parent's Club holds a Silent Auction as a fundraiser each year. We auction off baskets and items donated by Parents. If you would be willing to donate a basket, just drop me an email and bring it with you on Saturday. We will have bid sheets at the house. The auction will conclude at 1:45 pm.

We also will a Parent's Club meeting. It is time to elect a new board and we are looking for people to serve! It doesn't matter where you live, we have met via Skype and conference calls. Please consider serving! Positions include President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. We also would like someone help with Dad's Day, Mom's Day and Recruitment Week as chairs. None of these positions take very much time so please consider serving! If you are interested, please email me or call me at 918-939-9924.

Fall Update

Dear AXO Parents,

Recruitment is right around the corner and many of the girls are already spending countless hours planning to make this year the most successful one yet.  But as always, they need our support! The chapter is currently in need of parent volunteers and donations for Formal Recruitment.     I have had the opportunity to assist behind the scenes during several of the recruitment events.  It was a fantastic opportunity to get to meet other parents, get to know Mom Jane and Kathy better, and have a greater appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication our daughters put into this very important event.

This year, volunteers are needed for AM, PM, and full day shifts on the following dates:

                        Wednesday, August 6    (Open House Round Day 1)           9:30 - 5:45

Thursday, August 7         (Open House Round Day 2)          9:30 - 5:45

Friday, August 8              (Philanthropy Round)                    8:30 - 7:40

                        Saturday, August 9          (Skit Round)                                 9:15 - 7:30

                        Sunday, August 10           (Preference Round)                     10:30 - 5:40

                        Monday, August 11         (BID DAY!!!!!)                           10:00 - 2:00

In addition to volunteers, the chapter is looking for donations.  Currently, they need cases of mini Ozarka water, ANY SNACKS, and $5-10 gift cards (Starbucks, Fuzzys, WalMart, or any place in Stillwater) for prizes to use during the week. Let me know if you are able to send any of these items!

It’s also that time to renew your AXO Parent’s Club membership. The new board is looking forward to working together to support the girls! You can always contact me or the other officers (Kris Wilson, Vice President, Sharon Casillas, Treasurer, or Patricia Rice, Secretary).

 I would like to encourage everyone to join the AXO Parent’s Club, as 100% of your membership dues go directly into fun activities for our daughters.  The annual membership fee is still $50.00 per family, and we will make every effort to keep you updated as to how that money is being spent.   We are already planning a Sundae Party during Spirit Week, providing donations for recruitment, food for finals, a Christmas decorating party, and asking the chapter to provide a “wish list” each semester to make sure we are supporting the CHAPTER and their needs in the best way possible.   We still plan on doing fundraising through Parent’s Club t-shirts, Greek Spirit wear, Mom’s day Auction. 

We are committed to communicating to all active Parent’s Club members through our blog, Facebook page and emails. We have updates from all of our new officers, quarterly financial information, dates of upcoming events at the house AND parent’s club meetings, club bylaws, and volunteer opportunities.   Please take a moment to check out the blog and subscribe at:   AXOparentsokstate.blogspot.com and don’t forget to friend us on FaceBook (AlphaChi Omega Parents)!
